Circle of Dance was founded in 1982 by five artists dedicated to developing a regional modern dance company. Founder and Executive Director Elaine Lewis has brought together talented dancers and choreographers that have performed over the past two decades throughout the United States and Europe. The company presents original works of modern dance, creating a unique, eclectic repertory set to a wide range of music. The artistic diversity of the choreography creates an exquisite tapestry of timeless movement, poetic imagery, and ingenious style.
The company's mission to bring dance to public schools as a tool for learning has been fulfilled through their arts-in-education programs.
